Housing Advisors at Reed Fight for Fair Compensation!

The Union of Reed College Housing Advisors URCHA (OPEIU Local 11) is fighting for a fair a contract! Housing advisors are student workers who are not only critical to the success of higher education institutions, but a cornerstone of residential life on campus that simply cannot be replaced or replicated without their day in and day out work. Reed Housing advisors work 15-20 or more hrs. a week and they are seeking a stipend to align them with other resident advisors across the country who have unionized. Reed college believes working for food is fine enough. We believe that this is unjust.
